New Delhi, 2nd December, 2022 (Om Logistics Head Quarters): OM Logistics Limited organizes Blood Donation Camps every year at various branches under its CSR projects. In the same order, a blood donation camp was successfully organized at Dhulagarh Transport and Warehouse Hub located in Kolkata city last month, in which all the employees working in Dhulagarh branch voluntarily donated blood and also made the surrounding people aware about blood donation. Om Logistics is offering its express services across the country with more than 5000 vehicles. The company pays special attention to the fact that regular health check-up of all drivers, regular eye check-up and dissemination of information and awareness about road safety continues.

Om Logistics is a leading express service provider with a nationwide presence of more than 750 branches and more than 5000 employees and promotes blood donation across the country under its CSR projects/funds. Creating awareness among people associated with related industries is also a core mission of the company. The company firmly believes that ‘every blood donor is a Hero’. The company considers its employees very important and takes utmost care to ensure that all employees become healthy and safe. The company also provides health insurance to all its employees and also provides financial assistance if needed. Information about EPF hospitals and government facilities is also given to all employees through the handbook, as well as the employees of the HR department provide immediate necessary assistance to the concerned person in case of emergency.

The company believes that blood donation is an important act and it benefits the needy people, as well as increases physical energy. On this occasion, Mr. Himanshu Agarwal, Head of Human Resources of the company, made people aware that – “About 5 liters (10 units) of blood is available in the human body, out of which only maximum 1 to 1.5 units of blood can be donated at the time of need. Any person can donate blood at an interval of 3 months and by doing this regularly at an interval of 3 to 4 months, the body also remains healthy. In the process of blood loss (through donation) from the body, the blood cells of the body immediately start making new blood and in this process the person gets good health benefits.”

On such occasions, the employees of the company themselves go ahead and work to make the event successful and this is the sign of our success. The government organization ‘State Blood Transfusion Council, West Bengal’ made its special contribution in this blood donation camp. Under the supervision of experienced doctors of the organization, blood tests and necessary physical tests were done for more than 50 employees who donated blood and necessary food and beverages were made available after blood donation. The company expresses its gratitude to all the employees who donated blood for their enthusiastic participation in a very sensitive and important social work and made the event successful.
