Bangalore, July 29, 2022: ReshaMandi, India’s largest farm-to-fashion natural fibre digital ecosystem, is foraying into the global markets, aiming to become a one-stop sourcing solution for all natural and recycled fabrics. The company offers a wide range of natural fabrics while adhering to sustainability, fair trade and ethical sourcing norms. ReshaMandi’s vision is to build a new world of textiles and transform the industry by providing accessibility, availability, and affordability for businesses and consumers looking for sustainable solutions.
ReshaMandi has provided more than 10 million meters of fabric in natural fibres to 500-plus domestic producers of fabric, apparel and home furnishings. Among these 500, over 200 are exporters providing products to well-known brands across geographies. As fabric serves as the basic material for clothing and home furnishings, ReshaMandi currently supplies a variety of these essential goods to both the domestic and global markets. These include silk, cotton, viscose, bamboo, hemp and other natural fibres. ReshaMandi also sells textiles produced from materials like milk, soy, and other such natural sources.
ReshaMandi’s Founder and CEO, Mayank Tiwari said, “Given the tremendous potential in the global space for a one-stop sourcing solution for all natural and recycled fabrics, we believe ReshaMandi has the right mix of market expertise, technology prowess and the commitment to become a dominant player in the sector. Our game-changing full-stack digital ecosystem for the natural fibre supply chain has touched more than 10 million lives by generating employment, increasing operational efficiencies to almost 30% and paving the way for growth and development in a highly fragmented, unorganized sector. Presently, we cater to a diverse set of stakeholders ranging from retailers to end consumers in the natural fibre segment.”
Mr. Tiwari further added, “Thanks to the rising awareness around sustainability and fashion, many consumers, especially in urban centers, are consciously choosing natural fibres. As a result, an increasing number of retailers, mills, manufacturers, designers and allied stakeholders within the industry are looking for partners who can provide the best quality natural fibres at standardized pricing while ensuring delivery timelines are met. Our entry into the global market will lead us to be the largest natural fibre sourcing partner in the textile industry for businesses that seek sustainable solutions in apparel, lifestyle, home furnishings, fabrics and other categories.”
According to the third annual Material Change Index from the global non-profit Textile Exchange, fashion brands are now using 50% preferred materials — up from 44% last year — curbing greenhouse gas emissions by 5% and saving 1.9 million tonnes of COշ equivalent emissions. ReshaMandi starts its journey in the global markets with categories like yarn, natural and recycled fabrics, home & living, apparels, accessories and design to living solutions, with an ambition to expand this in future.
