SBI organized a cleanliness drive at the iconic CSMT under ‘United India for Swachhata’

Mumbai, October 03, 2022: The country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI), organized a cleanliness drive at the iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Station recently with the theme “United India for Swachhata” on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Dignitaries from SBI and Central Railways took part in the event with over 150 SBI employees. SBI staff members cleaned the main building of CSMT and its peripherals as a part of the drive. 

The event saw participation from Shri G. S. Rana, Chief General Manager (CGM), Mumbai Metro Circle, and Smt. Joohi Smita Sinha, General Manager – Network II, Shri. Manoj Kumar Sinha, General Manager – Network I and Deputy General Managers from Mumbai Metro Circle and SBI Corporate Centre. Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, DGM, CSR & Sustainability, and Shri Surajit Tripathy, DGM & CDO, Mumbai Metro Circle, were also present for the event.

The event concluded with the felicitation of the Safai Karmacharies of CSMT Station by the CGM, SBI, and Mumbai Metro Circle for maintaining the cleanliness of the iconic building despite high footfalls and rush hours. The general public and commuters showed their support and appreciation by participating in the event. State Government Authorities also appreciated the bank for this event, and Urban Development Department, Smart Cities, AMRUT & Swachh Maharashtra Mission (U) issued an appreciation letter to SBI.
