THDCIL Celebrates 32nd Raising Day

On July 12 THDC India Limited (THDCIL) celebrated its 32nd foundation day at Rishikesh, Projects and Unit Offices as the corporation was incorporated on the same day in 1988. D.V. Singh, CMD, hoisted THDCIL flag at the corporate office and addressed the august gathering of the employees at a function organized in Rasmanjari Hall. Director (T) H.L. Arora, Director (P) Vijay Goel, CVO B.P. Gupta and their spouses lit the lamp to inaugurate the ceremony. R.K. Vishnoi, ED (Design), H.L. Bharaj, ED (S&E/Services/HRD), AGM(P) N. K. Prasad, DGM Dr. A.N. Tripathy (CC) former senior employees M.P.S. Tyagi, Y.K. Sharma and S.R. Mishra and other senior officials of the corporation were present on this occasion.

D.V. Singh enthusiastically presented the achievements and ongoing activities of the corporation. He told that in the FY 2018-19 MoU target 4,590 MU was given. The corporation generated 4,688 MU from Tehri HPP and Koteshwar HEP, Patan and Dwarka wind forms. Clean & green energy 643 MU has been generated by May 2019 and `270 crore revenue has been earned from these wind forms. Beside this `25 crore generation based incentives have been earned. Various cultural activities were performed on this occasion. Awards were also given away for Best Employees in Executive and Workman Category under the THDCIL Award and Reward Scheme as well as Suggestion Mela and Meritorious Students (THDC Wards). N.K. Prasad, AGM(P&A) delivered the vote of thanks. Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1,513 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam and HPP (1,000 MW), Koteshwar HEP (400 MW) and wind power projects of SOMW at Patan and 63 MW at Dwarka in Gujarat to its credit.
