Wärtsilä’s Vaccination Camps to ensure easy access to vaccine across 17 locations in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Wärtsilä India is a leader in innovative technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets since 1980s and has a manufacturing facility in Khopoli. As a responsible corporate, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and in keeping with its guiding concept of giving back and caring for the society at large, Wärtsilä India has contributed to Covid related vaccination of 3909 people across 17 locations in & around the Khopoli area in Maharashtra state in India.

“We at Wärtsilä India reassure our community, and their families that we are strongly committed in creating a safe and better tomorrow,” stated Mr. R. Venkatesh, Managing Director, Wärtsilä India during the inauguration of the drive. “To guarantee that all people have safe and simple access to the vaccine, we organized onsite vaccination camps at Wärtsilä India and many other neighboring localities and villages.”

“The aim of the drive was to provide relief to such families and especially the elderlies. Glad that we have been able to contribute to this cause as part of our CSR initiative.”, added Mr. R. Venkatesh.

With this outreach, the company has provided an alternate and a smoother route for people, especially those living in remote areas, to take the vaccine.
