As a responsible corporation, ONGC aims to Reduce net carbon emissions by 25% over the next few years.
Major Initiatives in CSR One of ONGC’s CSR priorities is to address the healthcare concerns of people in the Northeast. As per directives of NitiAyog, ONGC has identified 20 Aspiration districts and is committed to raising these districts’ social and economic conditions by implementing strategic CSR projects.
Working relentlessly towards providing better health facilities to the communities, one of ONGC’s recent CSR initiatives is the “ONGC Multi-Specialty Hospital, (Swargadew-Siu–Ka–PhaHospital)” at Rajabari in Sivasagar district of Assam. The first phase of the 300-bed multi-specialty hospital was opened to the public in March 2019.
Set to be completed in three phases, the hospital is expected to benefit over one lakh patients annually by providing them with affordable treatment. To uplift traditional art and handicraft forms of India, ONGC Foundation has developed the following projects under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in partnership with expert agencies that have experience in promoting various kinds of art and handicrafts in different states of India.
They are working towards progressive alignment with community needs in respective geographies with CSR programs benchmarked to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
