A journey of service and achievement, Shri L.K. Advani’s Bharat Ratna Ceremony

March 31, 2024: In an influential ceremony that was held at her residence in New Delhi today, the President of India, Honorable Smt. Droupadi Murmu, conferred the prestigious Bharat Ratna upon Shri L.K. Advani, marking a significant recognition of his remarkable contributions to Indian politics and public service.

The ceremonial occasion was witnessed in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The family members of Shri Advani were also in attendance, adding a personal touch to the grand ceremony.

Who is Lal Krishna Advani?

Lal Krishna Advani is a well-known Indian politician, he is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is a right-wing political party in India. Mr. Advani played a significant role in the order of shaping the country’s political landscape. He was born on November 8, 1927, in Karachi, British India (now in Pakistan). Advani served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004 under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He also held various other important ministerial positions in the Indian government throughout his career.
