Beach clean up drives initiated pre and post Ganpati festival by JCBN International school

A fruitful collaboration between JCBN International School and a youth-led community “Change is Us” resulted in a pre and post-Ganpati festival clean-up drive at Girgaon Chowpatty. The “Change is Us” community has been working towards tackling plastic and marine pollution since 2019. The learners from JCBN International School, Parel campus have been undertaking these crucial initiatives since 2022. This collaboration resulted in the clearance of 20 tons of waste.

Beach Please commemorates its 300th week with a special clean up event at Mithi River Bank- Mahim

On October 15, ‘Beach Please’ organized a special clean-up event at Mithi River Bank in Mahim to commemorate its 300th week of supporting environmental causes. The river clean-up saw environmentalist Malhar Kalambe inviting 400- 500 students. The objective of increasing the involvement of youth in supporting environmental causes was also achieved through this initiative.

‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign observed by RITES

RITES Ltd, a transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm, supported the mega cleanliness drive – “Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” by organizing “Shramdaan’ ‘ across its offices and sites. The company has made green initiative investments that focus on minimizing environmental impact. The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign was observed by RITES from September 16th to September 30th, 2023. within its offices and residential flats.

Cleanliness Drive organized by TSG Hotels & Resorts at Marina Park and surrounding areas on World Tourism Day

Resorts commitment to community service and environmental stewardship Mr. Darshan Singh, General Manager flagged off the cleanliness drive. This event coincided with World Tourism Day and focused on Marina Park and nearby areas. The event registered active participation from the staff of TSG Emerald View Hotel and TSG Grand Hotel.

Legrand’s Coastal Cleanup of Pattinapakkam Beach, marks the conclusion of its sustainability week

A significant event undertaken by Group Legrand India marked the conclusion of its Sustainability Week – the Pattinapakkam Beach Cleaning activity held in Chennai. It also assumed a deeper significance since it coincided with the 70th Indo-French relationship anniversary. Mr. Tony Berland, MD & CEO, of Legrand India, said that the company was dedicated to sustainability and their products and practices contribute daily towards a cleaner and greener world.

The iconic CSMT chosen by SBI to execute its’s cleanliness drive under ‘United India for Swachhata’

Over 150 SBI employees participated in a cleanliness drive at the iconic CSMT, or the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The theme of the event was “United India for Swachhata.” This event also saw participation from Central Railways. The main CSMT building along with its peripherals was cleaned by the staff members. The felicitation of the Safai Karmacharies of CSMT Station by the CGM, SBI, and Mumbai Metro Circle marked the conclusion of the event.
