  16 August,2023: In a bid to reaffirm its’ commitment to CSR, ConfirmTkt, an online train discovery and booking platform, donated 88 wheelchairs at Secundarabad Railway station. The aim of this initiative under the Secunderabad railway station was to address the needs of the elderly, the differently abled individuals and others from the needy population. The distribution of wheel chairs event was done at the Secunderabad railway station, amidst distinguished guests. 11 August , 2023: The real estate and infrastructure development arm of Mahindra Group, (MLDL) recently partnered with KidZania Mumbai with the aim of nurturing children as the architects of a sustainable future. This partnership combines the commitment of Mahindra Lifespaces to “Crafting Life “with the immersive edutainment experience of Kidzania. The KidZania RCity Mall, Ghatkopar Mumbai has set up new age sustainable experiences for children. The children will be encouraged to design and create their own sustainable development at Mahindra Lifespaces “Experiences.” The children will be introduced to an engaging and interactive environment within KidZania Mumbai.   9 August, 2023: An announcement for the application process of the 2023-24 “Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program’’ was made recently.  Initiated by Group Legrand India, a known name as a provider of electrical and digital building infrastructure, this scholarship is focused on deserving girl students, transgender students, and differently abled students from all across India. It encourages applications from these categories. The organization is certified by GEEIS (International Certificate for D&I Commitment) and as a socially responsible company has been active in the area of gender equality. This scholarship was established in 2018 with a view to supporting the educational initiatives for girl empowerment. 7 August, 2023: A first of its kind, Care conference to dispel myths and stigmas on cancer, was held by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) India in Mumbai. RMHC India, operates the Family room of the outpatient department of the Pediatric Haematology-Oncology of Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children. Crucial care and comfort to families of the kids who are suffering from cancer is provided there. The Care conference saw a turnout of notable speakers like -Officer in Charge, ImPaCCT Foundation, Tata Memorial Hospital and Director & Board Member, RMHC India Shalini Jatia; Sr. Counselor at St Jude Childcare Centre; a Senior Pediatric Oncologist Mrunal Marathe, and parents of children who were fighting against the dreaded disease and those who had recovered from it. 5 August, 2023: HelpAge India, an NGO (Non-governmental organisation)that focusses on addressing the needs of vulnerable elders and Procter and Gamble Health Limited a VMS company that manufactures and markets vitamins, minerals, and supplements products for a healthy lifestyle to enhance the quality of life, launched a Mobile Healthcare Unit in Guwahati District. This was a CSR SEHAT in undertaken by Procter and Gamble Health Limited. The company has committed to contributing towards a healthier India, under SEHAT. CEO HelpAge India, Rohit Prasad, said that with the launch of the Guwahati MHU quality healthcare support will be provided to the vulnerable and disadvantaged elderly right at their door step. This was a much needed service in the district. Approximately 40,000 treatments will be provided every year to the senior citizens and their communities. Through this initiative the growth and adoption of volleyball among the rural communities in the state of Assam will be promoted. The Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) was founded in 2020, by former captain of the Indian Volleyball Team – Abhijit Bhattacharya. It was amidst the COVID – 19 pandemic that it was started to nurture and inspire the youth in the state of Assam to discover and adopt volleyball as a professional sport. 3 August, 2023: Rang De Neela is a unique initiative that addresses health awareness through the use of traditional art forms. It leverages creative artistry and engaging storytelling techniques to further behavioral changes within society and public health education. Its’ latest health awareness series “Threads of Health” that featured a 26 Kathputlis Concept that was curated by Metabolic Sutradhars was launched recently. Bollywood characters and other reputed personalities were the source of inspiration for these Kathputlis. This unique endeavour will see Senior “Metabolic Physicians” from all over India, such as Diabetologists and Endocrinologists take on the role of “Metabolic Sutradhars.” They will be accompanied with traditional puppeteers.   Health education which is a crucial topic will be imparted in and engaging manner which will be culturally relevant as well. 31st July, 2023 –Underprivileged children suffering from Thalassemia will now receive treatment under the flagship initiative of CIL – “Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana.” Fortis Healthcare has joined hands with CIL in this initiative and a partnership has come into effect through an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding.) This was initiated on July 28th at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. Present at the occasion were General Manager (CSR), Coal India, Smt. 28 th July, 2023:Mahanagar Gas Limited recently inaugurated medical facilities and upgraded new centres under its CSR initiative “MGL Aarogya.”  This initiative which focusses on healthcare saw the inauguration of the new Digital Dental Centre and Dental Implantology Centre at the Nair Hospital Dental College of BMC. The Cardiac Stress Testing Laboratory of the Cardiology Department at Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L Nair Charitable Hospital were also inaugurated. These Centres were then upgraded.
