RAJASTHAN

The Rajasthan government has constituted the Rajasthan Corporate Social Responsibility Authority to effectively implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, properly utilising CSR funds, and monitoring at a high level. An 18-member authority, constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, will guide CSR provisions and activities under the Indian Companies Act by coordinating with various industrial groups in the state. It has also set up the Rajasthan Govt Corporate Social Responsibility Portal, which offers a platform to corporates to make a choice of an identified project and also choose an executing trust/society/section 8 company, if required, besides suggesting projects and activities that they may wish to undertake. Users can find detailed information about the government projects.

A CSR fund has been set up in the state at the level of authority, and infrastructure facilities have been created through the fund as per the state’s priorities. Suggestions will also be taken from industrial groups.
