16th December 2024: The 9th edition of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon (VPCHM) concluded today in Jaipur, showcasing an extraordinary display of community spirit and determination. Almost 15,000 runners participated in support of Vedanta’s #RunForZeroHunger movement, raising 1 lakh meals for children and animals. Under this initiative, for every kilometer run by participants, Vedanta committed to nourishing a child and feeding an animal through its social impact arm, the Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF). 16th December 2024: In a significant step towards ensuring child-friendly hygiene and sanitation facilities for educational institutions in remote areas of Assam, Sunbird Trust, with financial support from NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and IT services, has enhanced sanitation facilities in schools on Majuli Island, Assam. The collaboration has led to the construction of restroom facilities at Berbhanga Friendship School in Dhemaji District and Ecoland Academy on Majuli Island, ensuring safe and hygienic restroom access for over 180 students and 24 staff members yearly. Before this initiative, students relied on makeshift washroom facilities built from tin sheets and bamboo partitions, which offered minimal privacy and limited hygiene standards. These temporary structures posed health risks and created challenges,

16th December 2024: FUJIFILM India reaffirms its dedication to India’s TB elimination goals by 2025 through active participation in the “100 Days to TB Elimination Campaign.” The initiative began with a flag-off event in Keonjhar, Odisha, today to give an edge to the government’s measure of making “TB Mukt Bharat” a reality. 12th December 2024: The Academy will plant 3,00,000 native tree species across Ahmedabad and Detroj Districts in Gujarat and Sivaganga District in Tamil Nadu, under the #एक_पेड़_माँ_के_नाम (#Plant4Mother) initiative, marking a significant milestone in its mission to promote environmental conservation. This groundbreaking project, part of ONGC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, aims to revitalize degraded community lands in these regions. Around 10-acre land parcels have been identified at each location to support the plantation and maintenance of 1,50,000 saplings in Gujarat and 1,50,000 saplings in Tamil Nadu. Supported by Shell India, this initiative aims to transform technical education in Gujarat by addressing critical skills gaps and equipping engineering students with expertise in cutting-edge technologies essential for driving the Industry 4.0 revolution.
