“Anti-Corruption Collective Action Playbook Training” New Delhi, June 14, 2024 – The highly anticipated workshop on “AC CA Playbook Training,” jointly organized by the UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), concluded successfully today at PHD House, New Delhi. 17 June 2024: Kotak Education Foundation (KEF), the CSR implementing agency of Kotak Mahindra Group, has received approval to run its FLN program in all 516 PM Shri schools in Maharashtra. As a pilot, the FLN program will start operating in 81 schools in 5 districts. The Foundational Literacy and Numeracy program at Kotak Education Foundation has completed its first year of implementation in 65 Mumbai private-aided and BMC schools. The vision of the FLN program is to ensure the universal acquisition of foundational literacy and numeracy, enabling every child to achieve desired learning competencies in reading, writing, numeracy, and 21st-century skills. 12 June 2024: The PARI Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting education and rural empowerment, is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative called the ‘Changemaker Drive’. Backed by crowdfunding support from donors on Milaap, the initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to rape survivors and raise awareness about sexual violence. It has set an ambitious goal to train 10,000 youth volunteers who will work towards impacting the lives of at least 100 rape victims across the country. 10th June 2024: Avaada Foundation has provided t-shirts to 1000 players at the summer sports training camp to encourage them. T-shirts were given to the players through the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Avaada Foundation has been organizing the Avaada Sports Training Camp for the physical and social development of rural children for the past month under the Avaada Village Development Program. Traditional lathi, self-defense, kabaddi, kho-kho, cricket, and football training is being given by professional coaches, in which about 150 children from 5 villages are getting training. 7th June 2024: Responding to the urgent need for access to safe drinking water amid rising temperatures across the country, HSBC India, in partnership with The Social Lab (TSL) and United Way Mumbai (UWM), has commenced an initiative aimed at ensuring the well-being of urban communities across key metropolitan cities, with a primary focus on Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi-NCR, which are among the major cities facing severe drinking water shortages. The initiative involves the installation of water kiosks strategically positioned in high-traffic locations across the five cities.
