TRIPURA

Tripura Government has been mandated to coordinate work on CSR by adopt i n g a synergistic approach involving central and state public sector units, civil society organisations, academia and the business sector to achieve CSR targets. A comprehensive mapping of CSR targets with schemes and programmes has been developed. The suggested approach to CSR brings together economic, social and environmental pillars, focusing on their interlinkages.

The Government of Tripura has been giving top priority to CSR implementation while adapting it to State-specific needs. Necessary communication and awareness generation have been made up to district and block levels through district magistrates and line departments to prioritise CSR proposals and facilitate and monitor them.

TFDPC Ltd

Long before this CSR Rule was implemented, TFDPC Ltd had undertaken and implemented many activities for the welfare of society & its people. TFDPC took up rubber plantation to resettle tribal Jhumias as part of the State Government’s social commitment. TFDPC voluntarily endorsed many Anganwadi centres. TFDPC also took initiatives for sustainable forest management to improve the environment & society & got an FSC Certificate.

TFDPC aims to promote sustainable forest development and give preference to the local area and areas around it where it operates for CSR activities.

It has set goals to promote through its CSR activities environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora & fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources & maintaining the quality of soil, air & water. It will also bring gender equality, empower women & education, and enhance vocational skills for employment under the ambit of CSR activities.

TFDPC will promote through its CSR activities any programmes related to Water Supply, including Drinking Water, Health Care organising, health awareness, Social Empowerment & providing Infrastructure Support.

ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC)

The company has always considered CSR a voluntary and part of its extended business activity. OTPC believes that giving back to society is not a mandate but integral to its beliefs. Accordingly, CSR is an integral part of the company’s business.

Throughout the year, the company undertakes various CSR initiatives to promote education, sports, health, sanitation, skill development, and community development near the company’s power plant in Palatana. The activities were carried out with the involvement of local panchayats, authorities, bodies, and local villagers, and the community appreciated them.

NABFINS

NABFINS is committed to supporting social developments under its CSR activities as envisaged in the Companies Act 2013. In Tripura, NABFINS’s CSR activity has promoted the Poultry Enterprise Development Programme. The chosen areas of CSR activities of the company are health & sanitation, access to safe drinking water, empowerment of women, and addressing malnutrition issues
