U.P. Power Transmission Corporation Ltd

The main objective of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy of U.P. POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED is to lay down guidelines to make CSR a key business process for the sustainable development of society. Further, we will directly/indirectly undertake projects/programs that will enhance the quality of life and economic wellbeing of the communities around our area of operation and society at large and generate goodwill and recognition among all stakeholders of the Company.

The Company undertakes the CSR Activities in the area of operation of the Company or any area in the U.P. for the benefit of society. The CSR Activities shall be conducted through schemes/ programmes identified by Udyog Bandhu, Government of U.P. / the District Magistrates of the concerned area/ Company’s officers.

PPGCL’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is founded on the belief that is aptly expressed: “In a free enterprise, the community is not just another stakeholder in our business, but it is, in fact, the very purpose of its existence.” The Company’s vision is to enable education and livelihoods in a manner that makes target communities futureready & the regions we operate in sustainable. The key interventions for target communities are focused in the following thematic focus areas like Education (Including Financial & Digital Literacy), Health & Sanitation, Employability & Employment (Skilling for Livelihoods), Entrepreneurship, Social & Financial Inclusion. The CSR committee of PPGCL outlines, reviews and monitors the identification of target communities, geographies, thematic focus areas and resource allocation concerning CSR action plans.

Swarna Jayanti Samudayik Hospital at Mathura is a 50-bed hospital providing medical treatment to residents near Mathura Refinery, Uttar Pradesh. The hospital provides free treatment to the destitute and offers subsidized treatment to others. The hospital also organizes various medical camps, including sterilization camps, general check-up camps, eye camps, etc.

During the last five financial years, more than 2.5 lakh patients were treated at the hospital, out of which operative procedures were conducted on 2670 patients.
