26th March 2025: Good governance is the backbone of a prosperous society. India, as the largest democracy in the world, on the march to becoming a developed country, has ancient democratic and holistic governance traditions, which need to be revived and combined with modern tools for the welfare of all. Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) has been trying to play its role in aiding this through capacity building, training, social awareness, and research. Towards this end, the Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership, set up by RMP, conducts a postgraduate program and various workshops, and publishes the six-monthly research publication – Indian Journal of Democratic Governance (IJDG). 25th March 2025: Epsilon Foundation, the CSR wing of Epsilon Carbon Private Limited, inaugurated a 26-bed Mother & Child Care Unit at Jindal Sanjeevani Multi Specialty Hospital (JSMSH) in Vijayanagar, Bellary, Karnataka. This initiative will improve maternal and pediatric care in the region with best-in-class equipment and facilities. Mr. Vikram Handa and Mrs. Tarini Jindal Handa inaugurated this new Mother & Child Care unit which features a 10-bed maternity ward equipped with a dedicated labor operating theatre (OT), coupled with a 6-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and a 10-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), with potential to expand this into a 30 beds facility. 6th March 2025: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) as part of its CSR initiatives has partnered with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Utkrisht Society for Safe Haryana (a Society belonging to Haryana State Police) to implement an Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the city. The ITMS will be installed and maintained at 23 junctions across 4 road stretches covering 40 kilometers in Gurugram aided by ~400 cameras and a radar system. This project is funded as a CSR initiative by MSIL. The ITMS for these cameras will be set up by Maruti Suzuki and integrated with the GMDA system. 7 February 2025 – The Carbon Markets Association of India (CMAI) hosted a high-level session, “Global Cooperation in Carbon Markets,” at India Climate Week 2025 on 6 February, the 4th day of its premier flagship event, in New Delhi.
