Vivekanand Education Society conducted a Beach Clean-Up Drive at Dadar Chowpatty in collaboration with Project Mumbai’s Jallosh initiative and the Indian Green Building Council

15th September 2025: Vivekanand Education Society (VES), one of Mumbai’s most respected educational groups, collaborated with Project Mumbai’s Jallosh initiative and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), a CII initiative that promotes sustainable, eco-friendly building practices through green certifications across India, organized a large-scale beach cleanup drive at Dadar Chowpatty. The cleanup drive was led by 300 NSS students from various VES institutes, along with 20+ teachers and other volunteers, who together collected over 2070 kgs of garbage. Bisleri International, LAHDC, and Ladakh Marathon Restore a 12 Lakh Litre Water Reservoir in Ladakh’s Nubra Valley

10th September 2025: Bisleri International, India’s leading packaged drinking water company, inaugurated the third reservoir, restored in Nubra Valley, Ladakh, under its flagship initiative, Project Nayi Umeed. The reservoir, with a capacity to hold nearly 12 lakh (or 1.2 million) litres of water, has been repaired and restored to ensure a reliable irrigation supply for farming communities in the region. Samsung Innovation Campus Will Expand Six-Fold to Train 20,000 Indian Students in Future-Tech Domains During 2025

10th September 2025: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, today announced a major expansion of its flagship CSR programme, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), reaffirming its commitment to empowering India’s youth with future-ready skills while supporting the Government’s vision of Digital India and Skill India. The skilling programme, will expand to 10 states this year, up from four in 2024. It will upskill 20,000 students in future-tech skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming during 2025, a six-fold increase over last year’s 3,500 students. Alongside technical training, the students will also receive instruction in soft skills to enhance workplace readiness, while eligible candidates will be supported with placement assistance in relevant industries.

CBM India and SBI Foundation Launch New Initiative to Empower 200 Children with Disabilities in Madhya Pradesh

10th September 2025: CBM India, in partnership with SBI Foundation, announced the launch of a three-year project to provide educational and therapeutic support to 200 children with disabilities in the Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh. The project was officially inaugurated recently in Narmadapuram. The project is implemented by CBM India under SBI Foundation’s Centre of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities, one of the Foundation’s flagship programs, and it will cover the Narmadapuram and Babai blocks.
