Vedanta Inaugurates its 1700th NandGhar in Karnataka

CSR NEWS Vedanta’s Flagship CSR Project NandGhar has rolled out its 1700th centre in Dharwad district in Karnataka today, thus moving closer to the vision of setting up 4000 NandGhars across India. Hon’ble Minister of Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Prahlad Joshi inaugurated the new centre at Dharwad, and handed over the 50 NandGhars developed in Dharwad to the community as part of ‘Vedanta Cares’, the CSR platform which focuses on enhancing the lives of local communities. SBI extends celebration for ‘Joy of Giving’ Festival

PRESS RELEASE With a constant commitment towards extending a helping hand to the underprivileged sections of the society, State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to donate necessary items to The Salvation Army, under its continued celebration for ‘Joy of Giving’ Festival. Sandhya Rasakatla of HZL becomes the first woman in India to supervise Underground Ground Mine operation

PRESS RELEASE Hindustan Zinc’s Sandhya Rasakatla has become the first certified woman in Indian Mining to supervise mining operations in an Underground Mine. A Mining Engineer, Sandhya has been a part of HZL since 2018, when she joined as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. REMCL distributes motorised tricycles among divyangs

PRESS RELEASE Railway Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL), a subsidiary of RITES Ltd, held a programme for distribution of tricycles to divyangs at its office in Gurugram on Thursday. Motorised tricycles providing mobility to 21 divyangs were distributed by Shri Rajeev Mehrotra, CMD-RITES and Chairman-REMCL; Shri Arun Thakran, Secretary, Haryana Weightlifting Association, and Shri Ajay Kumar Singhal, Chief Executive Officer, REMCL.  The dignitaries presiding over the event underlined the need for the public not to just show compassion, but to instil confidence among the divyangs.The camp, where motorised tricycles worth Rs 9.86 lakh were distributed among 21 beneficiaries, demonstrates the company’s commitment to the social welfare of the divyangs and engagement with local communities.

Diageo India Community Programme Making a Difference in the lives of Odisha’s Women

HPE Covid-19 Test Labs and OPD Centers Facilitate Over 100 Thousand Patient Visits in India

PRESS RELEASE Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) today announced that its COVID-19 Test Labs and Outpatient Department (OPD) Centers have collectively facilitated over 100 thousand patient visits across India. These facilities provide additional authorized COVID-19 testing facilities and isolation beds, thereby assisting the Government of India and state governments in their efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
