PRESS RELEASE The Vedanta Foundation has distributed 3,000 free laptops to the students of Vedanta PG Girls College, Sikar, Rajasthan. The initiative has been taken to fuel the ambition of less privileged students. Started in the year 1992, Vedanta Foundation has been contributing in the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. One of its major initiatives is the Vedanta Post Graduate Girls College, Ringus (Rajasthan), which holds special significance and is close to the heart of Vedanta Resources Ltd Chairman Anil Agarwal. PRESS RELEASE As a part of implementation of Swachhta Action Plan, for the year 2017-18, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India jointly with Nestlé India and NASVI will organize trainings for 500 street food vendors in New Delhi to generate awareness on food quality and safety. While street food vending is an important source of employment for a large population, a variety of constraints including lack of knowledge and skills in business, limited training opportunities, and restricted mobility have prevented street vendors from improving their skills and capabilities.
