24 November, 2023: A $6.5 million senior secured loan to produce and distribute 1 million improved cookstoves to the states of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha in rural India was signed by ADB – The Asian Development Bank and Greenway Grameen Infra Private Limited. A first-loss liquidity reserve of $3.25 million has been included from the Climate Innovation and Development Fund (CIDF), administered by ADB. There will be a significant reduction in black carbon and carbon monoxide emissions as the improved stoves reduce the fuel needs by 65% and the generation of smoke by 70% as compared to the typical and traditional indoor stoves or mud chulhas. Through this project, the cost of new cookstoves for rural households will be subsidized.

22 November, 2023: To mark the Child Safety Week 2023, observed from 14 November to 20 November 2023, Arpan and Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) have joined hands.  The objective of this collaboration is to increase the awareness about Child Sexual Abuse on public transports and creates safer environments for children during their daily trips. Child Sexual Abuse is a matter of grave concern that requires close attention. Going by the data released from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) in 2021 170 CSA cases are recorded daily, with 7 cases reported per hour. 21 November, 2023: Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) is a programme by Reckitt, a company in the consumer health, hygiene, and nutrition, segment. This programme marked its association this year in the third edition of the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival as its health partner. TBBT or The Birds and Bee Talk is being implemented in six states in India covering the Northeast, Gujrat and Delhi. This is being organized by the Department of Tourism Meghalaya. 20 November, 2023: Allstate India, a subsidiary of the Fortune 100 US insurance company – The Allstate Corporation, has announced significant milestones in its CSR initiatives. The expansion of the Rainwater Harvesting Project in Bengaluru recently, in collaboration with the NASSCOM GCC Consortium marked a significant step in the company’s commitment towards creating sustainable development and a social impact. Last year this was successfully installed in 21 government schools, and through this project thousands of litres of water are continuing to be saved. 18 November, 2023: A pioneering product the Seedcopter 2.0 – India’s first reforestation drone. has been introduced by Marut Drones a company in the Drone manufacturing segment. This service is available to corporate entities and their CSR teams. The dedicated CSR Teams could avail the services of Seedcopters in their reforestation activity, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 13, 15, 17& 9.) This would be a positive step in the management of their Carbon footprint and also contribute to a transformative and lasting impact on the environment. 16th November 2023 : Walplast Welfare Foundation, the CSR arm of Walplast hosted an educational event on November 9th, at their head office in Mumbai in collaboration with Project Nanhi Kali. 15th November 2023 : Academic institution – Galgotias University executed an environmental initiative recently, titled “3G – Galgotias Goes Green.” This registered the planting of over 10,000 trees within a duration of just 48 hours. Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, the CEO of Galgotias University, spearheaded this event, which witnessed a large turnout in terms of participation from students, faculty, and alumni. This initiative also marked the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Individuals were encouraged to contribute to this environmental cause by planting trees in their homes or offices and share their geo-tagged pictures with the university. 13th November 2023: Madhur Sugar, in the packaged sugar brand industry, has initiated ‘Madhur Utsav’ to celebrate the festive spirit of Diwali among all segments of society. The company, organised its’ first volunteer-driven initiative in collaboration with Robin Hood Army in thirteen locations in Delhi. The Robin Hood Army is a volunteer base organisation that serves the less privileged by organising the distribution of surplus food from the restaurants and community to them.
