1 Tree per home commitment from Provident Housing kicks off as a World Environment Month initiative 

Provident Housing Limited, a large-scale community developer, and a 100% subsidiary of Puravankara Limited, initiated its 1 tree per home commitment at its’ upcoming project in Bagalur, Bengaluru. This included a mass plantation drive covering 10 % trees at the site. The company has planned such drives across 4 more of its’ projects, and this campaign will coincide with the World Environment Day, June 5th 2023 today. Provident Housing will give a tree to each community resident family within its’ campus under the 1 tree per home initiative. Simpl observes World Environment Day by planning month long employee activities focussed on sustainability

3 June 2023: Simpl, a 1-tap Check-Out network, announced an environment friendly month long campaign for its employees with a focus on sustainability. The Simpl environment friendly pledge eliminates the use of paper cups, and includes waste segregation, and energy saving at the workplace. A month long employee engagement activities have been planned with the theme of sustainable living. This initiative of Simpl will include the symbolic act of support towards World Environment Day of switching off all lights from 3 pm to 4 pm in its 55,000 square feet workspace in Bengaluru on June 5th. Licious achieves Plastic Neutrality reaffirming its’ commitment to grow sustainably

3 June 2023: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Indian meat & seafood brand Licious, strengthened its efforts to grow sustainably by announcing its commitment to be plastic-neutral. The brand announced that in association with sustainability partner Recykal, which is a digital solutions company in circularity and sustainability it had already achieved plastic neutrality for FY2022 and taken strides in the environment friendly direction by being “Responsibly Licious.” Recykal assisted Licious in the successful recovery of 530 metric tons of plastic waste in the financial year 2021-22 through its Plastic Neutrality solution. IIT BOMBAY’S EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH INITIATIVE –  WISE, RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM TECNIMONT PVT.LTD.

1 June, 2023: Girls from the rural parts of India, will now receive funding support from Tecnimont Pvt.Ltd, in engineering and science disciplines through IIT Bombay’s educational outreach initiative – WISE. TCMPL or Tecnimont Private Limited, is a subsidiary of MAIRE Group. Prof. Rajesh Zele, from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Bombay is leading this initiative which involves 165 girls. These girls will be encouraged to go through a week long intensive residential programme at IIT Bombay in STEM as part of their higher education. This activity forms a part of MAIRE Group’s sustainability strategy, more specifically focused on value creation for the communities and territories covered under MAIRE’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. Global seedball campaign by Amma seeks to reduce global warming and mitigate climate change

31 May, 2023 :Faridabad recently witnessed the launch of The Global seedball campaign. AYUDH (International youth wing of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amrita Hospital, and Amrita University jointly launched This campaign as one of their numerous C20 initiatives directed towards the welfare of the world.  Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), Chairperson, Civil 20 India 2023 launched this global campaign under her guidance in April this year.  ‘Saksham’ Financial Literacy Home Credit India & Indian Development Foundation’s CSR initiative concludes successfully. Educates 30,000 marginalized women & girls as beneficiaries

30th May, 2023- A Financial Literacy programme “Saksham” which is a CSR initiative of Home Credit India (HCIN), a local arm of the leading global consumer finance provider, recently concluded this programme in collaboration with Indian Development Foundation (IDF) its’ implementation partner, a private non-profit organization. Project Saksham was carried out from July 2022 till March 2023, over a period of 9 months. The core objective of the Saksham financial literacy project is to impart basic financial education among marginalized women & girls in order to further their empowerment and facilitate their informed financial decisions. The Saksham project had nearly 30,000 women participants which included girl students, maids, homemakers, and daily wage earners.  There were 605 financial literacy workshops conducted

‘Nari Shakti’, a programme empowering marginalized girls and women through skill development launched by Flipkart Foundation in partnership with Deepalaya

 An innovative programme “Nari Shakti” seeking to empower girls and women from marginalized communities was launched recently. The Flipkart Foundation, under the Flipkart Group partnered with a leading NGO Deepalaya to kick start this. This project is slated to be implemented in two centers, covering Titron in Uttar Pradesh and Tavru district in Haryana.  This initiative plans to create new career opportunities by imparting training to 600 girls in Beauty Culture & Wellness and Fashion Designing. Deepalaya, supports underprivileged women, children and youth. The training that will be given to the 600 women and young girls will plant the seed of financial independence. They will also be encouraged to start micro enterprises and embark on the journey of sustainable livelihoods.

 Reach to Teach Foundation receives a five year grant of INR 5 crore as support from Murty Trust

The Murty Trust, which is the family foundation of Mr. Narayana Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy, has extended a 5 crore support for 5 years to the Reach to Teach Foundation. Reach to Teach is rolling out a Comprehensive School Transformation programme in the North East. Seed support will be provided to Reach to Teach along with strengthening the sustainability and credibility of its’ programme through this grant.  Signify illuminates 43 villages in Majuli Island, Assam with solar lighting

 May 25, 2023: Signify (Euronext: LIGHT),a leading global name in lighting, has impacted  the lives of 32,000 people residing in 43 villages in Majuli Island, Assam, with solar street lighting.
