22nd September 2025: On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day 2025, Honda India Foundation, the CSR arm for all Honda group of companies in India, organized a beach cleanup drive at Besant Nagar Beach, Chennai, as part of the campaign ‘My Beach, My Responsibility.’ This marked HIF’s first coastal-led CSR engagement, reflecting its commitment towards community-led environmental action. 17th September 2025: Alkem Foundation, a wholly-owned subsidiary and CSR arm of Alkem Laboratories Ltd. (“Alkem”), has supported the establishment of Samprada Singh Memorial Radiotherapy Centre in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, with an investment of INR 100 crores. This radiotherapy centre, the largest one in North Bihar and the second-largest in the entire state, is part of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre that was recently inaugurated by India’s Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. 10th September 2025: Bisleri International, India’s leading packaged drinking water company, inaugurated the third reservoir, restored in Nubra Valley, Ladakh, under its flagship initiative, Project Nayi Umeed. The reservoir, with a capacity to hold nearly 12 lakh (or 1.2 million) litres of water, has been repaired and restored to ensure a reliable irrigation supply for farming communities in the region. The initiative was launched in collaboration with the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, with the Ladakh Marathon acting as the implementing agency. 10th September 2025: Samsung, India’s largest consumer electronics brand, today announced a major expansion of its flagship CSR programme, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), reaffirming its commitment to empowering India’s youth with future-ready skills while supporting the Government’s vision of Digital India and Skill India. The skilling programme, will expand to 10 states this year, up from four in 2024. It will upskill 20,000 students in future-tech skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding & Programming during 2025, a six-fold increase over last year’s 3,500 students. Alongside technical training, the students will also receive instruction in soft skills to enhance workplace readiness, while eligible candidates will be supported with placement assistance in relevant industries.
