29th February 2024: To celebrate women’s entrepreneurship and the ‘Pragati’ cohort of women-led startups, was held today at the Jio World Convention Center, Mumbai. ‘Pragati’ is a flagship initiative by META and The/Nudge Institute to provide support towards incubating and accelerating early-stage women-led nonprofits. The day-long event saw over 120 stakeholders from the start-up ecosystem, including leaders across corporates, nonprofits, social enterprises, and policy experts, coming together to explore pathways to enhance and accelerate women-led economic development through entrepreneurship, enabling them to scale by leveraging technology and other support infrastructure. 29th February 2024: A leading diversified technology company, Panasonic Eco Relay, under the umbrella of Panasonic in India organized a tree plantation project in the Daulatpur area where the Delhi Govt is developing an educational and eco-tourism site for the entire Southwest Delhi region where there are 48 government schools with over 15,000 children. This project will generate livelihood within the local communities in the areas of nursery management, plantation, and aftercare. Panasonic has partnered with Heartfulness Institute for this project with the key objective – to revive endangered species and foster a sustainable ecosystem for future generations. To mark this milestone, mPokket announced the launch of its CSR initiative aimed at planting saplings across various locations. 29th February 2024: The transformation of 3.8 acres of former industrial dumping grounds into a flourishing Biodiversity Park in Noida’s Phase 2, IDEMIA India Foundation is delighted to showcase our steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare. In collaboration with the Noida Authority and the Give Me Trees Foundation, our team has successfully planted 15,000 trees comprising over 70 diverse species, marking a significant milestone in enriching the ecological landscape of the region. Previously it was tarnished by its industrial dumping yard history, the site presented daunting challenges, including deep-seated industrial chemicals and accumulated debris. 28th February 2024: A non-profit dedicated to quality education and empowerment in underprivileged communities, Literacy India, celebrated National Science Day with an event that not only showcased the creativity and innovation of young innovators through robotics and IoT projects but also highlighted the organization’s cumulative achievements. 28th February 2024 – The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the leading automotive components manufacturer, Spark Minda Foundation (SMF), organized a 7-day Mega Camp for People with Disabilities (PwDs) in Pune, Maharashtra from February 21st to 27th, 2024. The camp successfully provided multifaceted support to over 1000 PwDs, offering accessible and assistive aids such as Artificial Limbs, Walkers, Crutches, Hand Sticks, and assistance in UDID Registration, Skilling, Employment, and entrepreneurship. 27th February 2024: Dr KR Shroff Foundation (KRSF) has forged a partnership with Sarjan Foundation, to uplift the lives of several underprivileged students, and extended its efforts and resources towards uplifting rural and underprivileged communities through education, Sarjan Foundation runs a Vocational Training Centre, named MARG, in Rampur-Vadla village in Amirgadh taluka of Banaskantha district, to support skill development and employment of underprivileged youth. At present, over 350 students are enrolled at the Vocational Training Centre, all of whom are secondary school dropouts and aged between 16-22 years.
