28th December, 2023: The second edition of Literacy India’s flagship event – the Lakshya Career Mela was organised on December 21st and 22nd 2023 at Gurugram. The theme of this year’s event was ““Blueprint for Unlocking Potential to innovate, collaborate, and thrive.” Students aspiring to shape their future careers availed career guidance here. 26th December, 2023: Magniflex India (Made in Italy) mattress brand, distributed toys and goodies to the children of Angels Orphanage in Bengaluru. This initiative named “Gifts that Matter’’ is an annual Christmas Collection Drive, in which all franchise outlets in India, participate. The objective of this initiative is to bring genuine joy during the holiday season, to the underprivileged children of the community. Magniflex India’s franchise stores all across India, placed red Christmas bags encouraging customers to donate toys, stationery items, books, pens, colouring books to the less privileged children.                                                                                                                   22 December, 2023: In a CSR initiative undertaken by Cadila Pharmaceuticals, a large drug manufacturing company in the country, Bhetawada village in Dholka taluka has been illuminated with street lights after four decades of darkness. Bhetawada or the village of flowers is known for floriculture farming. The 4,500+ village residents faced many challenges for decades du to the absence of streetlights. This led to accidents, increased the crime rate with the residents being vulnerable to criminals, the movement after sunset was also restricted. Amongst may other challenges transporting individuals during medical emergencies to medical centres after sunset in the absence of proper illumination was also a big challenge. 21 December, 2023: CBM India, a nonprofit organization working towards improving the lives of people with disabilities across India, commemorated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Bengaluru. The event witnessed a turnout of 400 attendees, comprising CBM India staff, local authorities, and persons with disabilities who are actively engaged in the transformative programs of CBM India. The venue for the event held on the 19th of December 2023, was Brundavan School in Jigani Hobali, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. 21st December, 2023: Avashya Foundation, the CSR arm of Allcargo Group, an Indian born global logistics conglomerate successfully completed its Women Empowerment and Livelihood project for the marginalized women in Maharashtra. Under this project, the women from the underprivileged communities in Maharashtra, were offered three months basic and advanced tailoring and personality development training. The marginalized and underprivileged women at Dhamani and its surrounding villages – Panvel, taluka in Raigad district and Ishwar Nagar in Digha and Navi Mumbai benefitted from this in terms of upliftment and empowerment. 19 December, 2023: In a joint initiative between Brigade Hospitality Services Limited (BHSL), Dr. Sandhya Foundation and CANS Multi-Specialty Hospital a comprehensive health checkup for underprivileged girls was conducted. Auxilium Navajeevana, a non-governmental, non-profitable voluntary organization that is dedicated to the welfare of children who are in need of care and protection was the venue of the event. Preventive healthcare measures were emphasized by conducting specialized ultrasound scanning services and an eye camp. Thorough examinations for children who required early intervention were carried out by CANS Multi-Specialty Hospital. A series of educational workshops were held in schools across various cities of Madhya Pradesh to increase awareness and improve menstrual hygiene. A well-known brand in menstrual hygiene- Stayfree® in partnership with Menstrupedia a fast-growing startup had organised these informative series of workshops. The Menstrupedia educators engaged with adolescent girls between the ages of 9-15 years, on various aspects of puberty and menstruation in fun and interactive workshops. The Union Minister of Textiles, Piyush Goyal, recently flagged off the “One Bharat Sari Walkathon.” This event was organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and was curated by brand solution agency, Cab Experiences.
