Ministry of Textiles, Government of India celebrate the Indian Handloom    Industry at the One Bharat Sari Marathon curated by Cab Experiences 

The Union Minister of Textiles, Piyush Goyal, recently flagged off the “One Bharat Sari Walkathon.” This event was organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and was curated by brand solution agency, Cab Experiences. The One Bharat Sari Marathon paid tribute to the Indian handloom industry, by celebrating the cultural, economic and social relevance of the Indian traditional saree.

The vibrant event buzzed with togetherness as the elegant women participants, greeted and met each other spreading the message of cultural diversity and unity.

This event was the brainchild of Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Smt. Darshna Jardosh, and Hon’ble MP, Smt. Poonam Mahajan lent her whole hearted support for its successful execution in Mumbai. The indomitable spirit of the Indian women was celebrated at this event where women from all walks of life participated.  The rich heritage of the traditional attire – the saree, was showcased by the women participants styled in various captivating ways, representing different states of India. The saree symbolized a cultural thread that has been embraced by generations of women.

Noted celebrities and distinguished public figures attended the event and lent their support. A few dignitaries who attended were Shaina NC, Sonali Kulkarni, Sonali Bendre, Faye D’Souza, Yasmin Karachiwala, Anita Dongre, Neeta Lulla, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Rupali Ganguly, Falguni Pathak, Dolly Jain and Rouble Nagi.

The success of the event was also attributed to the whole hearted support of the Mumbai Police.

The event was conducted on the streets of BKC with 40 female Nashik Dhol artists welcoming the participants,

 

The successful event saw celebrities and the masses mingling with one another. The event brought out the togetherness, unity and shared love for one nation – Bharat.
