Nestlé India launches Kaabil; flagship culinary internship programme for the transgender community

Nestlé India has launched Kaabil, its flagship culinary internship programme for the transgender community. Enabled by Nestlé Professional and driven by BEACON, the company’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, the programme is designed to build industry-relevant culinary skills and enhance employability in the food and hospitality sector.  A 15-day curriculum will cover kitchen fundamentals, regional and international cuisines, recipe development, live cooking, professional readiness and career guidance. India gets first AI-focused NSQF qualifications from NIIT Foundation after NCVET recognition

New Delhi, July 24, 2026: National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) signed an agreement with NIIT Foundation, granting recognition to NIIT Foundation as an Awarding Body (Dual). With this recognition, NIIT Foundation will be eligible to directly conduct training, undertake assessments, and award NSQF-aligned certifications for approved qualifications across its pan-India network, in accordance with the regulatory framework of NCVET. The agreement signing ceremony was chaired by Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Executive Member, NCVET.
