 May 25, 2023: Signify (Euronext: LIGHT),a leading global name in lighting, has impacted  the lives of 32,000 people residing in 43 villages in Majuli Island, Assam, with solar street lighting. This initiative will greatly enhance the safety of local citizens. This project is executed in collaboration with ESAF or the Evangelical Social Action Forum. It is a part of the company CSR program, Har Ghar Roshan, with a strong focus on sustainable rural development. Majuli, home to many ethnic groups who have inhabited it for centuries is often cited as the cultural capital of Assam and is one of the world’s largest river islands. These changes are in accordance with Apollo Tyres’ Global Sustainability Strategy.                                          19 May, 2023: Global lubricant manufacturer Valvoline Cummins Private Limited (“Valvoline Cummins”), organised a green drive week with a theme ‘Sustainability, Nature and the Pollinator.’ This initiative that was aimed at creating a more sustainable and resilient world, encouraged all employees, associates and distributors to work together to cherish and value our planet Earth. Students in the rural areas of Bongaigaon, Assam, have received educational support, under the program of ‘Project Young Readers’.   Nestlé India and GreenLine, pioneers of LNG-fuelled heavy trucking logistics in India, have taken a green step towards creating a sustainable future through custom designed container trucks. This partnership aims at reducing the carbon footprint of the logistics operations of Nestlé India. Nestlé’s factory in Sanand, Gujarat, and Bhiwandi, Maharashtra will see the deployment of Greenline’s custom created 46 feet long containers. The LNG Powered fleet from Greenline comprises state- of –the- art trucks that are manufactured by Blue Energy Motors.
