APM Terminals Pipavav CSR initiative

30th January 2025:  APM Terminals Pipavav, in its ongoing commitment to community welfare, organized an eye check-up camp. The camp witnessed a turnout of 344 individuals, with 80 cataract surgeries conducted at Sudarshan Netralaya, Amreli. This initiative is part of the bi-monthly eye check-up camps launched in 2017, benefiting 350 to 450 villagers per camp from over 70 villages across Amreli, Jafrabad, and surrounding talukas.

Since 2017, APM Terminals has organized bimonthly eye checkup camps as part of its continuous healthcare efforts. These camps offer on-site OPD treatment and identify patients requiring advanced care. Those diagnosed with conditions such as cataracts and other eye diseases are referred to Sudarshan Netralaya for free surgery, ensuring critical eye health needs are addressed without financial burden. Projects span over 75 villages across Rajula, Khambha, and Zafarabad Talukas.

In addition to these eye checkup camps, APM Terminals Pipavav supports the local community through various health initiatives. These include a Port Medical Centre, a Mobile Health Unit that regularly visits Rampara, Bherai, Shiyalbet, Thavi, Divalo, Devpara, and Padar, offering basic medical check-ups, basic medicines, kit-based tests etc, and health education. The company also maintains an Advanced Life Support Ambulance and a Boat Ambulance equipped to handle emergencies and transport patients to hospitals. Each month, over 2,500 villagers benefit from these health services, emphasizing APM Terminals’ dedication to providing accessible and comprehensive health care.

In partnership with Sudarshan Netralaya, Amreli, APM Terminals Pipavav organizes bimonthly eye check-up camps that serve patients from over 70 villages. Since their launch, these camps have provided OPD treatments to more than 5,000 villagers and facilitated over 1,000 cataract surgeries. The recent eye checkup camp demonstrates the company’s sustained efforts to support and uplift the local population. APM Terminals remains devoted to its mission of delivering quality health care and contributing positively to the lives of the people it serves.
