World Health Day
Health impacts the world at all levels. Health is not just the absence of disease but a complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being. People from all walks of life contribute to global health in significant ways, from frontline healthcare workers to researchers, caregivers, and policy advocates. A healthy population directly translates to the well-being of families, especially children and vulnerable communities. In governance, strong health systems and inclusive health policies lead to more resilient and equitable societies. World Health Day serves as a reminder of the urgent need to ensure equitable and accessible healthcare for all. The 2025 theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” recognizes the maternal and newborn health as the foundation of long-term well-being and societal progress. The campaign urges governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being. CSR Times honors
