25th August 2025: On the occasion of 40th National Eye Donation Fortnight (25th August – 8th September), ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Matanand Welfare Foundation, has announced the launch of India’s largest eye donation awareness initiative,PledgeMyEyes 2025. This ambitious, nationwide campaign aspires to inspire thousands of new eye donation pledges and raise urgent awareness to combat corneal blindness, which continues to affect millions across the country.

As part of this nationwide drive, PledgeMyEyes 2025 will reach out to over 1,00,000 people across multiple states through awareness rallies, free eye screening camps, educational programs in schools and colleges, webinars, and social media outreach. The initiative aims to secure at least 10,000 fresh pledges for eye donation during the fortnight.

Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Nikkhil K Masurkar, President – Matanand Welfare Foundation, said :”Eye donation is a precious gift that can restore vision and transform lives. Through PledgeMyEyes 2025, we seek to raise awareness and inspire more people to pledge their eyes, helping bridge the gap in corneal blindness. Each pledge moves us closer to a future where no one is held back by the loss of sight. ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, with its longstanding commitment to innovation and eye health, is honored to carry forward this legacy by supporting initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.”

The campaign builds upon the momentum of previous years, where thousands came forward to pledge their eyes. Last year’s initiative alone inspired over 4300 individuals to register as donors. With India witnessing 49,638 corneas collected and 27,667 utilized in FY 2023-24 (EBAI data), the need for 1,00,000 transplantable corneas annually underscores the critical importance of this campaign.

Reflecting on the significance of this initiative, Dr. MAYANK JAIN, Consultant Jainam Eye Centre Said, “Corneal blindness is preventable and treatable, but only through collective awareness and swift action. Campaigns like PledgeMyEyes 2025 are crucial in mobilizing not just donors but entire communities, nurturing a culture where eye donation is embraced as a noble and life-changing responsibility.”

In addition to physical outreach, PledgeMyEyes 2025 will launch an extensive digital campaign under the hashtag #PledgeMyEyes, encouraging people across the country to take the pledge online and share the message within their communities. The initiative will particularly focus on mobilizing youth as ambassadors of change, ensuring that the message of eye donation reaches the next generation.

ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, through this initiative with Matanand Welfare Foundation, reaffirms its commitment to eradicating corneal blindness and empowering people to make a lasting impact by pledging their eyes. As PledgeMyEyes 2025 unfolds nationwide, it carries forward the powerful message that “One Pledge Can Light Up Two Lives.”
