NIPPON PAINTS collaborates for ‘PROJECT PUTHRI’- An empowerment initiative for girl students in Tamil Nadu   

       12 October, 2023 : Nippon Paints, in the paint manufacturing industry in Asia, announced its’ collaboration with Avtar Human Capital Trust for Project Puthri. This initiative focuses on empowering underprivileged girl students from Tamil Nadu. The first project was launched at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Walajabad. This project is designed to provide life skill training along with education and mentorship. With a view to empowering the underprivileged girls, Nippon Paint India, will ensure that 80% of the PUTHRI scholars secure white-collar jobs across various sectors. The Power of One educational trust marks the completion of its 7th year – 274 needy students sponsored so far! 

                11 October, 2023: The Power of One educational trust was established in 2016 by Prasad Narayan and his wife, Rekha Krishnan. The trust assists students who are keen to pursue a college degree but are unable to do so due to financial constraints. Since the academic year 2017-18, the trust has so far sponsored 274 students by paying tuition fees to the tune of Rs. 23 Lakhs across several colleges. The Founders say that this would not have been possible without the contribution of friends, family & well-wishers. INDIAN NEW SPACE AT INFLECTION

After 1947, a newly independent India began to reconstruct itself. During this time a young and dynamic researcher, Dr.Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai , envisioned the Indian space programme and focused mainly on the use of space technology for the benefit of the common man. The Indian space journey, in a true sense, is set to have begun on 21st November 1963 when the first sounding rocket, Nike Apache, was launched from Thumba Equatorial Rocket launching station (TERLS) in the Southern Indian state of Kerala. Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s dream project, the Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE), began in August 1975 and lasted one year. MTR Foods in partnership with Myrada creates water conservation capacity of 40 million litres in Karnataka

7 October, 2023:  With the objective of uplifting the ground-water table, MTR Foods in the packaged foods segment has partnered with Myrada, a non-governmental organization. This collaboration has created a 40 million liters water conservation capacity in Bommasandra and its surrounding areas Karnataka. This CSR Project will benefit about 5000 people and households in the region. Myrada operates in the underdeveloped and drought prone regions. 6 October, 2023: The Indian nasal spray brand – Otrivin, has expanded its “Actions to Breathe Cleaner” program, spreading it across 10 government schools which has had a positive impact on 4000+ students and staff.
