Distribution of E-Rickshaws to needy Women

PHDFWF in association with Inner Wheel District 301 distributed 10 E-rickshaws to needy women living in different resettlement colonies of Delhi at the PHD house, New Delhi. E-rickshaws were distributed to these underprivileged women to make themselves self-reliant to support their families and betterment for their children’s education.

Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Govt. of India virtually conveyed her blessings on this special occasion and congratulated PHDFWF and Inner Wheel District 301 for supporting these deprived women. Hon’ble Minister encouraged the beneficiaries to use this opportunity to become role-model for others.

Ms. Anuradha Goel, Chairperson, PHDFWF shared that the income generated from these E-Rickshaws will make the women Atma-Nirbhar as envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister. Ms. Goel was happy to announce that through FWF’s 15 skill development training centers, Foundation has already benefited more than twenty-nine thousand beneficiaries and have helped them to become self-reliant to support their families.

Ms. Seema Khaitan, Chairman, Women Empowerment Committee of Inner Wheel District 301 shared that giving E-rickshaws is an attempt to make these women financially strong, learn their livelihood and look after their families.

Mr. Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, PHD Chamber shared that the vision behind this initiative is to make them self-sufficient and to engage them in economic activities that adds to their family income and hoping that this initiative would bring bright and colorful changes in their lives.
