5 April 2024: Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), a multi-business corporation and a leading FMCG conglomerate, in a significant leap in its sustainability initiatives, has announced the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by solar energy in the open parking area at its headquarters in Noida. This progressive enhancement to its sustainability initiatives demonstrates DS Group’s continued commitment to providing employees with tangible ways to embrace clean energy solutions. Incorporating CSR in parts and parcels of its organization, including its human resources, underscores sustainability as a core value throughout its entire framework. This holistic approach reflects the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

The new EV charging stations offer a convenient and user-friendly way for employees who drive electric vehicles to recharge their cars during office hours. By promoting the adoption of electric vehicles, the company is actively working to reduce its carbon footprint and foster a cleaner future.

Mr Ramesh Kumar, Senior General Manager of Facility Management, Dharampal Satyapal Group said, “The installation of these EV charging stations aligns perfectly with DS Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship. We believe this initiative will benefit our employees by providing a convenient charging solution and contribute to a more sustainable future for all.”

This initiative is just a fraction of DS group’s comprehensive blueprint of sustainable practices. The DS Group Headquarters (DSHQ) is a LEED Platinum-certified building, recognized for its sustainable practices across seven categories. These include reducing pollution through employee transportation, using native plants and rainwater harvesting, significant water conservation measures, energy efficiency through features like daylight access, using eco-friendly materials, maintaining good indoor air quality, and pursuing carbon neutrality through renewable energy and waste management. This commitment to sustainability reflects the DS Group’s focus on environmental, social, and economic well-being.
