BENGALURU, MARCH 23, 2026:   Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, continues to advance its sustainability and social impact agenda through Paathya, its ESG+ framework. Marking its fourth year, IHCL reinforced its commitment to responsible tourism with Bharat EkSaath Walkathon – Bengaluru edition, an inclusive 3 km walk bringing together associates, their families, local partners, vendors and community across 14 countries in over 200 locations. The funds raised through the walkathon support the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT), reinforcing IHCL’s approach to social impact.

In Bengaluru, the experience unfolded as a thoughtfully curated morning, seamlessly blending purpose with hospitality. Set against the timeless charm of Taj West End, the walkathon commenced amidst the hotel’s iconic heritage and lush, century‑old gardens — a fitting backdrop to a movement rooted in legacy, care, and collective responsibility.

The initiative saw participation from across IHCL’s portfolio of hotels in the city, including Taj West End, Taj Yeshwantpur, Taj MG Road, Taj Bangalore, Vivanta Bengaluru, Whitefield, Vivanta Bengaluru, Residency Road, Ginger IRR, Ginger Whitefield, Taj Sats, ama Stays & Trails – Kuteeram, ama Stays & Trails – Mangirish Farmhouse, Alur, and other teams. Participants traversed the city’s verdant environs, coming together in a unified expression of purpose and wellbeing.

The walkathon was flagged off from Taj West End, Bengaluru by Sri Thrilok Chandra K.V., Secretary to Government, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, alongside Mr. Satyajeet Krishnan, Senior Vice President – Operations, South, IHCL.

The event concluded with a hearty breakfast, followed by the distribution of medals and certificates to all participants — celebrating community spirit and reinforcing IHCL’s ongoing commitment to responsible hospitality.

The Bengaluru edition stands as a testament to IHCL’s enduring ethos of Tajness, where collective participation transforms into meaningful impact, fostering a deeper sense of community, care, and shared responsibility.
