STEM innovation camp India

December, 2025: Meritus AI, a leading STEM and Artificial Intelligence education organization, in collaboration with SODEWS (Society for the Development of Economically Weaker Sections), successfully conducted the “Winter Robotics & STEM Innovation Camp for Rural Students – 2025” from 24 to 28 December 2025 at the SODEWS Student Residential Campus, Mullai Village, Tamil Nadu.

The five-day intensive learning camp benefited over 100 government school students from Grades 6 to 12, providing them with their first hands-on exposure to Robotics, Engineering, and STEM fundamentals through 100% screen-free, activity-based learning.

Designed under Meritus AI’s CSR and Rural Outreach Initiative, the camp aimed to bridge the rural–rban education gap by bringing high-quality STEM learning directly to underserved communities. Students explored key concepts such as mechanical design, sequencing, logical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving using physical robotics kits and structured challenges.

A major highlight of the program was the use of RoboRobo, Robotics Kits, which enabled students to build real working models, experiment with mechanisms, and understand how machines function. The screen-free format ensured that even students with limited digital access could confidently participate and excel.

The camp was delivered by a certified Meritus AI trainer, who managed the complete curriculum, daily lesson plans, and student engagement. The SODEWS teachers and coordinators provided strong on- ground support, ensuring discipline, safety, and smooth execution throughout the program.

Students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and creativity, with many building their first robotic models and successfully completing engineering challenges. The camp not only strengthened their technical skills but also helped build confidence, curiosity, teamwork, and a growth mindset—key traits for success in the 21st century.

Speaking about the program, representatives from Meritus AI and SODEWS emphasized that such initiatives are vital to unlocking rural talent and preparing students for future careers in technology, engineering, and innovation.

The Winter Robotics & STEM Innovation Camp 2025 marks a significant step toward empowering government school students in rural Tamil Nadu, proving that with the right tools and guidance, every child can become an innovator.
