Tata Power’s new brand film promotes loving our planet and switching to clean and green energy

12 December, 2023: Tata Power an integrated power company’s new brand film – ‘DuniyaApneHawale’ promotes the message of “Embrace Mother Earth. Love Our Planet. Switch to Green and Clean Energy.”

This is in keeping with Tata Power’s commitment to ‘Sustainable is Attainable’, and inspires citizens to take individual actions and responsibility towards a cleaner and greener future and make sustainable lifestyles a reality.

Tata Power as a responsible corporate encourages the adoption of green energy products and services for its large consumer base that includes corporates as well. It is directing its’ efforts towards popularizing the attainability of a sustainable lifestyle for millions of Indians through the adoption of affordable green solutions. These include – rooftop solar, solar microgrids, EV charging, group captive solutions, smart home automation solutions to promote energy efficiency and pumped hydro power to name a few.

This live campaign is engaging the public with its message, on digital and social media platforms, along with featuring on news and business channels in English, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi and Gujrati.

The journey of a globe is depicted in the film, demonstrating the abuse and damage that our planet sustains daily. This is caused by a range of human activities like deforestation, industrialization, construction and urbanization. The globe is soiled and battered by the end of its journey, but two children who represent the future generation, rescue it, hug it and clean it. This shows the love and care that we need to demonstrate towards our planet. The strong message at the conclusion of the video is “Embrace Mother Earth. Love Our Planet. Switch to green and clean energy.”  “The song playing in the background has meaningful words like “Hold Me Tight.”

Chief – Brand & Communications -Tata Power, Ms Jyoti Bansal mentioned that while global leaders congregate and debate at COP28, No Action is not an option. The right conversations with Sustainable is Attainable, were created by Tata Power in the lead. She urged people to take individual actions towards lifestyles and clean energy solutions and thus accelerate the movement. Small acts can become catalysts for a big change like the simple act of the children cleaning the globe in the film.

National Creative Director of Rediffusion – Mr. Pramod Sharma, said that the film was straight from the heart. The planet is being punished daily due to our actions, which we must stop immediately or else it will become irreversible. Most of our actions unfortunately is due to ignorance or indifference. Tata Power through the medium of this film send across an important message of urgent action at an individual as well as a societal level.

Executive Director of Rediffusion – Ms Carol Goyal, added that they had kept the messaging real and hard hitting. We see the punishment being accorded to the globe every day yet do nothing.

Tata Power plans to achieve 70% capacity generation from clean and green energy sources by the year 2023 and by 2045 achieve carbon net neutrality.
