Community libraries to empower students, set up in rural areas of Assam by                             Vantage Circle and Xondhan Foundation    

Students in the rural areas of Bongaigaon, Assam, have received educational support, under the program of ‘Project Young Readers’. Vantage Circle an employee engagement platform, in collaboration with Xondhan Foundation, which is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) has successfully inaugurated a transformative community library with the aim of empowering young minds.

The 15th of May 2023, was a significant day in the lives of the underprivileged communities and youth of Bongaigaon Assam, as they gained educational support and empowerment through the establishment of this initiative.  Prominent dignitaries and local people attended this event and supported this initiative.

Easy access to educational resources, with a view to bridging educational gaps in rural areas is a strong focus of this initiative. It also seeks to promote a culture of learning and intellectual growth.

The event was marked by speeches from village community leaders, prize distributions, art competitions and other activities aimed at boosting the creativity of young minds.  Vantage Circle has introduced complimentary storytelling sessions for the students, thus aiming to enhance their skills and foster a holistic growth.

Mr. Anjan Pathak, CTO and Co-founder of Vantage Circle, said, that he was honored to collaborate with Xondhan Foundation to create this valuable resource for students in rural areas. He further added that education was a fundamental right, and this initiative would go a long way in empowering the students of Bongaigaon district by providing them with a conducive environment that would aid learning and personal development. He was optimistic that this would open the doors to a brighter future for them.”
