16th October, 2023: An announcement of the successful empowerment of 1800 women was made by Dalmia Bharat on International Day of Rural Women the 15th Of October 2023. Dalmia Bharat, is an Indian conglomerate with businesses in the cement and sugar industry. Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been established through which these women are provided essential skill training and access to vital resources that are crucial for sustainable livelihood development. Dalmia Bharat collaborates with various organizations, namely – NRLM, NABARD to name a few, to organize various training initiatives in the farming and non-farming sectors, such as micro enterprise development, handicraft production and others. These activities cover the communities settled around their regions of operation in 12 states of India.

New Delhi, October 15, 2023: The second edition of the prestigious Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon which concluded earlier today witnessed the participation of 35,000+ runners in support of the cause of #RunForZeroHunger. The record participation, 50% higher than last year, extended across five events including the flagship Half Marathon, Open 10K Run, Great Delhi Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and Champions with Disability Run. Vedanta’s commitment of providing 1 meal to children for every 1 km run added up to 5 million meals in total. 13 October, 2023: Waaree Energies Ltd., the flagship company of the WAAREE Group, in the solar energy sector, has conducted a unique Tree Plantation Drive. This initiative was aimed at enhancing the environmental sustainability coupled with increasing the green cover of Gujarat. The trees planted during the Waaree plantation drive added a personal touch by associating each tree with the name of a specific employee. This unique activity was a firm step towards encouraging the employees to participate actively in fostering a greener planet and also demonstrated the company’s commitment towards a positive environmental impact.        12 October, 2023 : Nippon Paints, in the paint manufacturing industry in Asia, announced its’ collaboration with Avtar Human Capital Trust for Project Puthri. This initiative focuses on empowering underprivileged girl students from Tamil Nadu. The first project was launched at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Walajabad. This project is designed to provide life skill training along with education and mentorship. With a view to empowering the underprivileged girls, Nippon Paint India, will ensure that 80% of the PUTHRI scholars secure white-collar jobs across various sectors.                 11 October, 2023: The Power of One educational trust was established in 2016 by Prasad Narayan and his wife, Rekha Krishnan. The trust assists students who are keen to pursue a college degree but are unable to do so due to financial constraints. Since the academic year 2017-18, the trust has so far sponsored 274 students by paying tuition fees to the tune of Rs. 23 Lakhs across several colleges. The Founders say that this would not have been possible without the contribution of friends, family & well-wishers. These students are pursuing their studies in various disciplines like, Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Law, and many more. 7 October, 2023:  With the objective of uplifting the ground-water table, MTR Foods in the packaged foods segment has partnered with Myrada, a non-governmental organization. This collaboration has created a 40 million liters water conservation capacity in Bommasandra and its surrounding areas Karnataka. This CSR Project will benefit about 5000 people and households in the region. Myrada operates in the underdeveloped and drought prone regions. This initiative will improve the supply of water in the local community, along with water storage capacity, by recharging groundwater and building and renovating village ponds to harvest rainwater.  An investment of Rs10.6 million is being made by MTR towards this project that will have a significant benefit on the region. 6 October, 2023: The Indian nasal spray brand – Otrivin, has expanded its “Actions to Breathe Cleaner” program, spreading it across 10 government schools which has had a positive impact on 4000+ students and staff. The objective is to improve the overall air quality within the learning environments. Apart from installing 22 air purifiers in three government schools in Bengaluru in 2022, Otrivin has also installed 78 self-cleaning and sustainable air purifiers in 10 government schools of Delhi so that the children studying there can breathe cleaner air. This initiative has taken shape through a partnership between RH Magnesita India, a manufacturer and supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems and solutions and Don Bosco Tech Society.
