Training imparted to 5,000 Youth in rural Maharashtra through the Youth Skilling programme of Swades Foundation.

Swades Foundation the philanthropic endeavour of Ronnie and Zarina Screwvala, recently completed the training of 5,000 youth in rural Maharashtra through its Youth Skilling program. This was conducted in collaboration with the support of CSR partners, Udyogwardini and Learnet Skills. Out of the 5,000 youth who participated in the Youth Skilling Program, 83% were successfully placed in jobs and were either employed or self-employed. The skilling program targets the underserved youth in the age group of 18-35 years. By equipping the youth who attend the program with the relevant skill sets including soft skills, they are groomed for meaningful employment opportunities. Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation completes its sixth year and enrolled farmers register a 16% increase in productivity

Marico, one of India’s leading consumer product companies in the global beauty and wellness segment, had established their Parachute Kalpavriksha Foundation (PKF) ON World Coconut Day in 2017. SPARSH Foundation offers free joint replacement surgeries for retired teachers in rural areasthrough their Guru Namana program

2 September, 2023 : SPARSH Foundation founded in 2007, a charitable wing of SPARSH Hospitals, conducts multiple social initiatives with the aim of helping the underprivileged.  An initiative launched in 2010 – Guru Namana, identifies retired teachers residing in rural areas and offers them free joint replacement surgeries.  Nearly 800+ teachers have benefitted from this initiative till date ever since the inception of this initiative. Under the Guru Namana program, a 100 percent success rate is achieved in joint replacement surgeries for eligible retired teachers. Screening camps were conducted in Bangalore, Gulbarga and Raichur for the same. St. Jude opens its 42nd Centre for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) pediatric patients in Mumbai

St. Judes India Childcare Centre has recently opened its 42nd BMT Centre in Mira Road Mumbai. This will manage 1000 families across 14 states in India.           Spowdi and SEWA collaborate to scale Smart Farming

A 2.5-million-member association of self-employed women, SEWA has collaborated with Green-tech innovator Spowdi, through a five-year agreement, to introduce Smart farming to thousands of women small hold farmers. This partnership will be executed under the Water Drop Initiative phase 2. This was announced post the successful completion of phase 1 of the Water Drop Initiative. Phase 1 was supported by SHL Medical, and Spowdi and SEWA has provided Smart Farming training and technology to SEWA grassroots members covering four states of India. Smallholder Farmers in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh empowered through the collaboration of Flipkart Foundation and TechnoServe

Mobile Medical Unit project aimed at improving the health of low-income groups inaugurated in Thane by Panasonic Life Solutions India.

25th August, 2023: Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt Ltd –an electrical construction material company present all across India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Holding Corporation, Japan. Panasonic Life Solutions India, one of the largest ECM (electrical construction materials) manufacturing company in the country has collaborated with Gurukrupa foundation to launch a mobile medical unit. The aim of this project is to bring about an improvement in the health conditions of the residents of Thane. Ongoing efforts are underway to provide primary health care through a mobile medical unit under the Arogyadoot project. Residents of low-income groups in Majiwada, Chirag Nagar, Nalpada, Kokanipada, and Dharmveer Nagar will have access to the facilities of the medical facilities in the van.
