The 47th anniversary of the HCL Group was marked by the plantation of 47,000+ saplings of different native species trees from across India. HCL Foundation, the CSR arm of HCL Tech, carried out this initiative. This mega plantation drive in India was spread across the cities of Bengaluru, Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Lucknow, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Hardoi, Thoothkundi, North and South 24 Paraganas and Noida. The plantation drive at government schools, HCL Tech campuses, forested areas, dedicated lands for mass afforestation saw the inclusion of family members of HCL Tech employees, NGO partners, school students, community volunteers, and women’s groups. 17 August, 2023: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management (NCIPM) and 70-year-old Indian origin FMCG company, LT Foods, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. According to this, 10,000 farmers in the country will be trained on sustainable farming practices. This initiative is part of the ESG Goal of LT Foods to train 50,000 farmers by 2025. The company has till date, trained 20,000 framers all from across India. These farmers were trained under the company’s SRP or Sustainable Rice Production programme.   16 August,2023: In a bid to reaffirm its’ commitment to CSR, ConfirmTkt, an online train discovery and booking platform, donated 88 wheelchairs at Secundarabad Railway station. The aim of this initiative under the Secunderabad railway station was to address the needs of the elderly, the differently abled individuals and others from the needy population.
