11 August , 2023: The real estate and infrastructure development arm of Mahindra Group, (MLDL) recently partnered with KidZania Mumbai with the aim of nurturing children as the architects of a sustainable future.
This partnership combines the commitment of Mahindra Lifespaces to “Crafting Life “with the immersive edutainment experience of Kidzania. The KidZania RCity Mall, Ghatkopar Mumbai has set up new age sustainable experiences for children. The children will be encouraged to design and create their own sustainable development at Mahindra Lifespaces “Experiences.”
The children will be introduced to an engaging and interactive environment within KidZania Mumbai. Their learning about sustainability will be enhanced through play and exploration. This initiative is in alignment with the flagship CSR programme of Mahindra Lifespaces – the “Green Army.” This program provides the education and inspiration for school children to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. The aim is to “Create One Million Caring Citizens.” Mahindra Lifespaces has achieved a significant milestone of reaching over 472 schools, 77,000 children and 3 lakh citizens covering major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru.
Through a hand-on learning approach the children will be able to learn about sustainable practices and their benefits. The three distinct experiences created as part of this initiative are – the sustainable Design Studio, Green Power Zone and the construction zone. The children will learn to design and create their own sustainable development in the cutting edge Sustainable Design Studio, While the Green Power Zone as the name suggests will educate the children about renewable energy and the Construction Zone will facilitate the building of homes through imitation bricks and cement for the younger children. A realistic working crane is placed and can help transport construction material to the higher floors.
A ‘Green Army Architect’ certification will be awarded to children after successful completion.
Chief Marketing Officer, Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Limited Viral Oza expressed his happiness at this unique partnership and said that the launch of “Experiences “aimed at instilling the values of environmental responsibility in the young minds. They would also learn about the fascinating world of real estate and sustainable architecture. With this initiative he was hopeful of creating a future where sustaibilibity would be more pronounced.
