Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon 2024 raises 1 lakh meals for children and animals through #RunForZeroHunger

16th December 2024: The 9th edition of the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon (VPCHM) concluded today in Jaipur, showcasing an extraordinary display of community spirit and determination. Almost 15,000 runners participated in support of Vedanta’s #RunForZeroHunger movement, raising 1 lakh meals for children and animals. Under this initiative, for every kilometer run by participants, Vedanta committed to nourishing a child and feeding an animal through its social impact arm, the Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF). The collaboration has led to the construction of restroom facilities at Berbhanga Friendship School in Dhemaji District and Ecoland Academy on Majuli Island, ensuring safe and hygienic restroom access for over 180 students and 24 staff members yearly. Before this initiative, students relied on makeshift washroom facilities built from tin sheets and bamboo partitions, which offered minimal privacy and limited hygiene standards. 14th November 2024: Upholding its philosophy of ‘We Give Where We Live,’ TELUS Digital India, a leader in AI-powered customer experience and business process solutions, recently conducted its annual TELUS Days of Giving (TDOG) school refurbishment volunteer activity. 7 June 2024: PepsiCo India, in collaboration with Plan Foundation, Recity Network, and Mathura Vrindavan Nagar Nigam (MVNN), celebrated World Environment Day by installing recycled plastic benches at Gandhi Park, Vrindavan, as an extension of its Project Purna—Unnati ki Sajhedaari. These recycled benches are made with recycled plastic waste and carry beautiful artworks made by the children on the theme of ‘cleanliness and waste’ as part of previously held art competitions organized under Project Purna.
