21st February 2024: The remarkable success of Project Parivartan, which is a collaborative initiative to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in India, with its 11 participating hospitals across 7 states scoring an average of 90% across Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS), in the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) audit. This project is aimed at demonstrating a reduction in infections and the prevalence of multi-drug resistant organisms in small to mid-sized hospitals through infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship activities. Bhetawada or the village of flowers is known for floriculture farming. The 4,500+ village residents faced many challenges for decades du to the absence of streetlights. This led to accidents, increased the crime rate with the residents being vulnerable to criminals, the movement after sunset was also restricted.
