Maruti Suzuki to implement Integrated Traffic Management System in partnership with Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority and Utkrisht Society for Safe Haryana

6th March 2025: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) as part of its CSR initiatives has partnered with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Utkrisht Society for Safe Haryana (a Society belonging to Haryana State Police) to implement an Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the city. The ITMS will be installed and maintained at 23 junctions across 4 road stretches covering 40 kilometers in Gurugram aided by ~400 cameras and a radar system. This project is funded as a CSR initiative by MSIL. The ITMS for these cameras will be set up by Maruti Suzuki and integrated with the GMDA system. 13th January 2025: The Akshaya Patra Foundation has set up a special camp at the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, starting from January 13, 2025. The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated one acre of land near the Sangam area for Akshaya Patra’s kitchen. The Foundation’s National President, Shri Bharatarshabh Dasa, shared that their goal is to serve wholesome 20,000 meals every day during the event. The customized Akshaya Patra kitchen is equipped with various tools to aid in food preparation and is expected to serve 20,000 people during the Maha Kumbh Mela on a daily basis. 28 November 2024: Virtusa Foundation, the CSR arm of Virtusa Corporation, has launched a large-scale Miyawaki plantation Drive at Gitam University and Guru Nanak University, planting over 11,500 native saplings. This initiative promotes biodiversity, combats climate change, and fosters sustainable urban ecosystems, further strengthening Virtusa’s leadership in corporate environmental responsibility. Spread across 3.1 acres of land in Hyderabad, 8,000 saplings at Gitam University and 3,500 at Guru Nanak University were planted through the widely known Miyawaki method.
