An advanced mobile community clinic “Wellness on Wheels’’ recently witnessed a joint inauguration by Ma r t i n Lundstedt, President & CEO, Volvo AB and Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman Narayana Health. This was recently built by the Volvo Group in partnership with Narayana Health. The President and MD Volvo Group India, Mr. Kamal Bali accompanied by a team of doctors from Narayan Health and Group officials of Volvo Bengaluru, were also present at this inauguration. This CSR initiative provides medical services including free screening in the rural parts of Karnataka, and other states in the country as well.

163 Indian Companies create over 4 Lakh jobs in US

According to a report on the presence of Indian industry in the US by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indian companies have made over $40 billion in investments and contributed to the creation of more than 425,000 direct jobs. In the ‘Indian Roots, American Soil’ report, it is said that 83% of the companies questioned intend to make more US investments in the next five years, while 85% intend to hire more local workers. Additionally, 50% of poll respondents said they planned to fund more US-based R&D projects.
