163 Indian Companies create over 4 Lakh jobs in US

According to a report on the presence of Indian industry in the US by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Indian companies have made over $40 billion in investments and contributed to the creation of more than 425,000 direct jobs.

In the ‘Indian Roots, American Soil’ report, it is said that 83% of the companies questioned intend to make more US investments in the next five years, while 85% intend to hire more local workers. Additionally, 50% of poll respondents said they planned to fund more US-based R&D projects.

According to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), “Indian Industry’s increased engagement with the US through escalating investments, job creation, CSR, and R&D strengthens local communities and enhances the competitiveness of the US workforce.”

All 50 American states have some level of Indian foreign direct investment (FDI), with Texas having the highest levels.

163 businesses from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, services, IT and telecom, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences, have made investments in the US.

According to CII, Texas, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts receive the largest FDI from Indian firms, while New York, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Florida, and California are the biggest recipients of the most direct jobs produced by Indian companies.
