India’s road to mass vaccination against Covid-19

The wait for Covid-19 vaccine is over. The vaccination programme to protect people from the coronavirus has rolled out to combat the pandemic, which has killed more than 1.73 million people globally and infected 78 million people since late December last year. The first human cases of Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, were reported by officials in Wuhan City in China, in December 2019. The UK became the first country in the world to start administrating its citizens with Covid-19 vaccine which was soon followed by several other nations.
