03 October, 2023- In commemoration of the ninth anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, initiated in 2014, SOS Children’s Villages India, organised a cleanliness drive, across 31 of its locations nationwide. CEO of SOS Children’s Villages India, Sumanta Kar, mentioned that as an organisation, they recognised that children as the future guardians of the planet,should have access to cleanliness and hygiene.He was of the opinion that the values of cleanliness and hygiene should be instilled at an  early age to ensure their physical well being and  shape them into resilient individuals and the strongest version of themselves. Avaada Foundation the philanthropic arm of the Avaada Group, has since its inception, been working in the fields of Empowerment, Education, Environment, Youth Development, Health and Energy. Through its efforts a significant positive impact has been created across 15 states in India. In compliance with Education for All (SDG 4), the foundation has adopted government schools in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. 29 september, 2023: The/Nudge institute, a non-profit organization and Daily Rounds, the largest academic network of doctors in India, partnered for the latter’s “End Ultra Poverty Program.” This program aims to empower women who belong to ultra poor families by breaking the ultra-poverty cycle. They will endeavor over the next three years towards creating sustainable local livelihoods for 400 women. These women belong to the rural communities in Latehar and Lohardaga of Jharkhand. This collaboration is a significant step towards addressing the urgent issue of ultra-poverty by focusing on the marginalized women and families from the rural and underserved regions of Jharkhand. 28 September, 2023: DryChem India Pvt Ltd Group of companies in the manufacturing of building construction materials segment has its’ CSR arm – Walplast Welfare Foundation (WWF). This foundation collaborated with a nonprofit organisation Project Nahi Kali for an inaugural event in Palghar. Project Nanhi Kali, works towards providing high quality education and assistance to the underprivileged children nationwide.  The event in Palghar, Navi Mumbai saw a turnout of 60 participants of the Nanhi Kali program, who were accompanied by their parents, representatives of Dry Chem Indi Pvt Ltd and Nanhi Kali Foundation as well as community partners. 27th September, 2023: The Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and Sanofi have been engaged in a three-year-old programme. This programme has begun showing significant impact on the lives of children who have been affected by Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D). As part of the People-to-People Health Foundation (PPHF) more than 1300 young patients young TID affected patients nationwide have been enrolled out of which 69 patients are from Maharashtra. This program is imparting better education on TID management to the 1300 children. The program’s intervention over the last 9 months spanning September 2022 to June 2023 has reduced the number of children experiencing hypoglycaemia (1 to 4 times a week) by 46% as compared to

A project to raise awareness about the wastage of food and hunger challenges in India was introduced by Asahi Kasei (a leading Kitchen Solutions brand from Japan and Akshaya Patra Foundation a non-profit organization. This initiative supported the noble cause of feeding school children through “Wrap Up Hunger With Asahi Kasei.” The aim was to make a meaningful impact by reducing the food wastage and eradicating classroom hunger with the provision of nutritious midday meals to underprivileged children. These wholesome meals were a part of the Akshay Patra Foundation’s Mid-Day meal programme. 22 September, 2023– With the wellbeing of India’s truck drivers and road safety in mind, Castrol India, in the lubricant manufacturing segment recently inaugurated its latest Castrol Sarathi Mitra training center in Sankagiri, Tamil Nadu. 21 September, 2023: Mumbai based OSCAR Foundation, a community-based Sports for Development (S4D) has announced a tour to the United Kingdom, the fourth so far, for underprivileged children. The 15-day tour to the UK on the 1st October 2023, will see the participation of 10 girls and boys from the underserved communities of Mumbai. The Foundation is also sending 2 girls form Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and 4 children from Karnataka from its villages near Yadgir. The selected children will participate in a cultural exchange programme and also play friendly football matches with school students in Europe. 20 September , 2023: On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day Allcargo Group an Indian global logistics conglomerate collaborated with its’ NGO partner, Swachha Vasundhara Foundation, to promote environmental sustainability and maritime health. The Swachha Vasundhara Foundation is supported by the Maharashtra Forest Department. Over 1,000 volunteers who took part in this initiative, were NGOs, Navy personnel, NCC Cadets and students from 18 colleges.
