3 August, 2023: Rang De Neela is a unique initiative that addresses health awareness through the use of traditional art forms. It leverages creative artistry and engaging storytelling techniques to further behavioral changes within society and public health education. Its’ latest health awareness series “Threads of Health” that featured a 26 Kathputlis Concept that was curated by Metabolic Sutradhars was launched recently. Bollywood characters and other reputed personalities were the source of inspiration for these Kathputlis. 31st July, 2023 –Underprivileged children suffering from Thalassemia will now receive treatment under the flagship initiative of CIL – “Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana.” Fortis Healthcare has joined hands with CIL in this initiative and a partnership has come into effect through an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding.) 28 th July, 2023:Mahanagar Gas Limited recently inaugurated medical facilities and upgraded new centres under its CSR initiative “MGL Aarogya.”  This initiative which focusses on healthcare saw the inauguration of the new Digital Dental Centre and Dental Implantology Centre at the Nair Hospital Dental College of BMC. The Cardiac Stress Testing Laboratory of the Cardiology Department at Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L Nair Charitable Hospital were also inaugurated. These Centres were then upgraded. Both these centres were jointly inaugurated by Chairperson CSR Committee- MGL- Ms. Malvika Sinha, Director M.E & M.H BMC – Dr. Neelam Andrade, and Member CSR Committee-MGL- Shri Syed Shahzad Hussain.   28 July, 2023:DP World, a provider of worldwide smart end-to-end supply chain solutions, has taken steps to conserve nature, promote biodiversity and protect the oceans. The company plans to nurture 15,000 school students and the youth as Ocean Protection Ambassadors. The initiative seeks to celebrate the spirit of World Nature Conservation Day by addressing the rising issue of plastic waste that ends up in the oceans. Behavioural issues at the community level will be tackled with this in mind. Plastic waste accounts for 80% of all marine pollution and every year nearly 8 to 10 million metric tons of plastic are deposited in the ocean. 27 July ,2023:Water logging issues had been plaguing the farmers of the Nageshwar and Goriyali villages in Gujarat. This issue has been addressed jointly under the Sujalam Sufalam Yojana by the Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD) and the Gujarat State Irrigation department. This state-wide water conservation initiative has provided support to construct a drainage channel that is 3.3 km long. Approximately 350 farmers with farmlands across 300 acres have benefitted from this project. An excavation of 35 farm ponds in 20 villages within a month, increasing the water storage capacity by 9 million cubic feet to support irrigation spread across 880 acres of agricultural land has also been undertaken by TCSRD. 26 July, 2023:A free, easy-to-use carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e) tracker has been launched by Myplan8, a green tech start up. This provides an insight into the carbon footprint caused by our day-to-day lifestyle, food consumption habits, regular travel etc. The Carbon Directory has 8 key categories.  Carbon emissions for water usage, food habits, energy used, pet animals, waste management, travel and electronics used and lifestyle – day to day activities have been simplified by MyPlan8.  Nearly 100 parameters have been listed by the company to help individuals reduce their carbon footprint in these categories.  The food category has 30 food items listed under it. It is shown that the consumption of 100 gms of beef can lead to 15.5 kg

Ltd, established in 2008, present in the Healthcare, Materials, and Imaging sectors has announced the successful impact of its latest CSR educational infrastructure transformational initiative. As part of this activity, the company has renovated two schools. FUJIFILM India has refurbished and remodeled the Government Primary School which is located in the heart of Sushant Lok, Gurugram, Haryana into the FUJIFILM India Model School to accomplish this. This is transformed into a modern and inspiring place for the students to thrive. 24th July, 2023:WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, focuses on working towards a low carbon economy and building sustainable and liveable cities. WRI India launched its initiative, ACAAS or the Accelerator for Clean Air Action. The launch took place at the flagship event of WRI India – Connect Karo 2023. This initiative is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, Open Philanthropy and Clean Air Fund. The air quality management practices of ten cities will receive technical support from this accelerator.  ACAAS will help the participating cities of Mumbai, Jalandhar, Pune, Agra, Gorakhpur, Vadodara, Indore, Surat, Ahmedabad and Chennai through this program.  21 July, 2023: HDB Financial Services (HDBFS) a non-banking financial institution incorporated in 2007 undertook the complete restoration of four waterbodies in Gurugram as an eco-restoration initiative. The four waterbodies – Sanpka, Kharkari, Tatarpur, and Alipur ponds were revitalised and renewed by HDB as a collaborative effort, along with its CSR Partner Environmentalist Foundation of India. The following key activities constituted the restoration work- Removal of 13.5 tonnes of garbage from the periphery of the lake. Removal of invasive weeds through a manual and mechanical process Excavation of sediment deposited over the years, use of the excavation silt for strengthening the bunds and nesting islands to attract birds Channelizing the flow of water by clearing clocked inlet and outlet channels
