The UCI 2025 Cycling Race Showed Rwanda’s Organisational Prowess

Rwanda to the World Rwanda and its Capital Kigali were the star of the Cycling sport during the week of 21 to 28 September 2025. The world watched hundreds of televisions broadcasting the first ever UCI Road World Championships on the continent of Africa, in its 125-year history, a great milestone, for the international sport. The week delivered much more. Excited fans on the sides of cycling roads in Kigali were offered to watch a hard and unpredictable racing that particularly highlighted the women and junior racing programmes which captured the spectators’ attention. Undoubtedly, UCI 2025 in Kigali showed the love for cycling in Rwanda, and above it demonstrated the universality of cycling and the need to take it global.

Hartek Foundation lights up flood-hit Punjab with 500 solar Lights

4th September 2025: As floodwaters continue to ravage large parts of Punjab, leaving villages in Ajanala, Fazilka, and Ramdas cut off from electricity and essentials, one of the state’s homegrown organisations has stepped in with a powerful intervention. Hartek Foundation, the CSR arm of the Hartek Group, has announced the donation of 500 solar-powered lights to households struggling in darkness after days of power outages. CBRE’s ‘Ek Pehal’ initiative and Child Heart Foundation brings lifesaving care to children with heart ailments

20th August 2025:  CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading real estate consulting firm, has partnered with the Child Heart Foundation (CHF) under its flagship CSR initiative ‘Ek Pehal’ to support the early detection of Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) in children. As part of this collaboration, a series of medical screening camps is being conducted across Gurugram and has successfully screened over 600 children, aged between 0 and 18 years, for early signs of CHD to date. Six medical screening camps, conducted since April this year, have led to the identification of 15 suspected cases of CHD. Further diagnostic evaluations for these cases are currently underway. Milestone Moment: Women Secure Their First Savings Certificates through Empowerment Initiative

28 July 2025: Omega Forum for Social Impact (OFSI), the CSR arm of Omega Healthcare, in partnership with The Association for Sustainable Community Development (ASSCOD), successfully concluded the Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Distribution Programme, a landmark event celebrating the financial transformation of tribal women from across 15 villages in the Chengalpattu district. The initiative brought together over 200 women participants, including the 30 of them being awarded savings certificates. “Protecting Women, Preventing Cervical Cancer”: Aahwahan Foundation’s Initiative CERVIVOUR to eradicate cervical cancer

23rd May 2025: The commitment of raising awareness and eradicating cervical cancer, Aahwahan Foundation has started an initiative, “Protecting Women, Preventing Cervical Cancer”, aimed at empowering women against the battle of cervical cancer. According to research conducted by the India Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Related Cancers in 2021, every year, 1,23,907 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and 77,348 die from the disease. The situation of women and children in rural areas and the underprivileged section of society remains most affected due to a lack of proper treatment, facilities, financial aid, etc.  Through this initiative, the foundation provides free HPV vaccinations to thousands of women and children in rural and financially disadvantaged communities who face barriers to accessing healthcare facilities.
