30 November, 2023: Next Education, a SaaS-based end-to-end education solutions provider and Selco Solar India Pvt Ltd have collaborated for an educational initiative. This is aimed at introducing advancements in the educational access and sustainability across India. This is an important step in the direction of the environmentally conscious and technologically enhanced schools in the country.
The two organizations are forging ahead with a shared commitment of making a meaningful impact on education. The schools identified by Next Education and SELCO for this transformative journey include the regions of Dharwad, Belgavi, Chickmagaluru, Yadgir, Hassan, and Tumkuru. A few key NGO partners like Menda Foundation, Youth for Seva, and Selco Foundation, are also associated with this project. A significant outcome of this collaboration was the seamless integration of Next Education’s digital classroom solutions, known as Teach Next and Selco’s renewable solar energy solutions.
During a four-year duration, Selco India’s sustainable energy focus has led to the advancement of schools by integrating digital education and leveraging technology to provide an enriched learning experience. Through this partnership, the underserved areas have experienced a revolution in education through the immense potential of solar powered digital classrooms, while also ensuring sustainability and accessibility.
Key highlights of this project include 1200 schools in rural Karnataka that have been successfully engaged and 200 schools have been further impacted in Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. This collaboration has had a wide geographical reach. Additionally, 1400 solar powered digital classrooms have created a transformative learning environment. The positive impact of this initiative includes the educational and social spheres and extends to students, teachers and the local communities.
Co-founder & CEO of Next Education India – Beas Dev Ralhan said that at Next Education they were aiming at introducing innovative technology to revolutionize education.
